Teacher Learning and Practice Series
Overview
The Teacher Learning and Practice Series will provide you with the knowledge and skills required to implement the Victorian Teaching and Learning Model 2.0.
Classroom teachers and leaders at any career stage can deepen their skills and understanding of the evidenced-based teaching and learning strategies within the model.
Participants will have access to:
- hands-on mentoring
- targeted resources
- research and strategies required to implement effective teaching practices.
Audience
This series is suitable for all Victorian school staff, including educational leaders who wish to learn more about implementing the VTLM 2.0.
Facilitators
This series is delivered by experienced facilitators from the Academy, specialising in evidence-informed teaching and learning strategies. They have extensive knowledge of the Victorian Teaching and Learning Model 2.0 framework and hands-on experience in diverse classroom settings.
Structure of program
- 8 face-to-face workshops
- 2 per school term (1.5 hours each)
Attendance requirements
Participants must attend at least 75% of the workshops (6 out of 8) to receive full recognition for completing the series.
Learning outcomes
By the end of this series, participants will:
- gain a comprehensive overview of the elements of teaching and learning within the Victorian Teaching and Learning Model 2.0
- understand practical, hands-on teaching strategies and actions to support the implementation of the model within a diverse classroom
- develop a culture of continuous improvement through reflective teaching practices
- be able to integrate ongoing assessment and feedback mechanisms to track progress and adapt strategies accordingly.
