Engaging Students in Mathematics with Peter Sullivan
On This page

Deep dive into what makes teaching strategies effective in mathematics, and what you can do to better engage students. Over the course of this full-day workshop, Professor Sullivan will tackle this question, drawing on his extensive experience in mathematics education and his research on effective teaching strategies.

Examine the challenges students face in learning mathematics, and the ways you can respond. Learn how to differentiate lessons to meet a variety of learning needs, and how you can create lessons which align to the curriculum. Consider the important role of sequencing topics, and how this can be done more effectively.

Delve into inclusive and community-building approaches to engaging students in mathematics, to work towards the ultimate end goal: students who enjoy mathematics and are engaged in their learning.
