    Facilitator

    Dr. Ben Palmer, CEO – Genos. 

    Ben has a PHD background in psychology from Swinburne University, Melbourne Australia, where he developed the first Australian model and measure of emotional intelligence.

    Ben started Genos International in 2002 with Swinburne University. Their goal was to make his emotional intelligence tool available to businesses.

    They began working with corporate clients such as ANZ Bank, along with McKinsey & Company, on transforming the organisation to be more customer centric. to be more customer centric.

    This work resulted in the bank doubling its share price in 18 months and winning Bank of the Year 8 times in a row.

    Structure of program

    Enhance your leadership skills with our tailored Emotionally Intelligent Leadership program. Choose from three delivery options designed to fit your role, knowledge, and practice level.

    1. Hybrid full-day workshop

    Overview: Get introduced to the essentials of emotional intelligence with a comprehensive, full-day session.

    Format: One full day of in-person, interactive learning.

    Content: Broad overview of emotional intelligence concepts and frameworks for leaders.

    Designed for: Middle leaders and principal class members who are new to emotional intelligence.

    2. Online modules

    Overview: Deepen your understanding with our detailed online modules, spread over two school terms.

    Format: 6 x 2 hour modules delivered online.

    Content: Each module explores an element of the Genos Emotional Intelligence framework, focusing on theory and practical application.

    Designed for: Principals, assistant principals, and leaders looking to strengthen their emotional intelligence leadership skills.

    3. In-person network delivery

    Overview: A flexible half-day, face-to-face delivery offering a customized or standard approach to two emotional intelligence modules for your network.

    Format: Half-day, face-to-face delivery with two options:

    • Custom delivery: Networks can request a bespoke, in-person session covering 2 modules of their choice (aligned with 2 of the 6 Genos EI elements).
    • Standard delivery: Networks can book a half-day face-to-face session covering 2 standard modules from the Genos EI model.

    Designed for: Principals, assistant principals, and, at the network’s discretion, high-performing middle leaders.

    ** Network Chairs or SEILs are invited to submit an Expression of Interest for a local network delivery.

    Attendance requirements

    Hybrid, full day workshop

    To successfully complete this program, you need to attend the full day program. 

    Online modules

    To successfully complete this program, you need to attend at least 4 of the 6 online modules. 

    In person network delivery

    To successfully complete this program, you need to engage in the half-day, face-to-face network delivery.
