Ballarat Mural

Academy Ballarat and the City of Ballarat Arts Incubator, both located at 36 Camp Street, share a commitment to supporting local artists. In a collaborative effort last year, they commissioned experienced artists, Chuck Mayfield and Cax One, to create a mural on the building's rear wall.

Finished just before Christmas, this visually stunning artwork is a testament to mutual respect. Spanning an impressive 132 square meters (22 meters wide and 6 meters high), the mural is a harmonious blend of the rich history, culture, and traditions of the Wadawurrung and Dja Dja Wurrung People, alongside European settlement. Bearing the Wadawurrung phrase "Koling wad-ngal" (Let us walk together!), it adds a vibrant and meaningful touch to the Ballarat CBD and is visible from various points around the city.
